Refund policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

You pay for a fax that reaches its recipient. When a fax can’t be delivered, we refund it automatically. This policy explains how much and how.

1. Delivered faxes

A fax is delivered when the receiving machine confirms it. A delivered fax is not refunded, because the service has been performed, even if the number you entered turns out to be the wrong one.

2. Faxes we never dialled: full refund

If your fax fails before any call to the number is made, for example because our fax provider refuses it, you get the full amount back.

3. Faxes that fail after a call: refund minus a fee

If a call was made but the fax didn’t go through (the line was busy, nobody answered, there was no fax machine on the line, or the call dropped), the call has already cost us, and the card processing fee isn’t returned to us. We refund the price minus $0.30 + 2.9%.

Example: a 3-page fax to France costs $4.77. If it fails after a call, the fee is $0.44 and we refund $4.33.

4. How you are refunded

Refunds are automatic: you don’t need to ask. They go back to the card you paid with, in the currency you paid in. Your status page shows when a refund is on its way. Depending on your bank, it can take several business days to appear on your statement.

5. Charged twice, or something looks wrong?

Write to contact@faxtonic.com with your status page link or the date and destination country, and we’ll look into it. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank: it’s usually faster.
